In doing so, Audi secures not only rights to the golf facility in the event of a decision in favour of Germany but also supports the ongoing bid by Germany to host the 2018 Ryder Cup. With the step, the company impressively underlines its interest in and enthusiasm for staging this most prestigious of all golf competitions in 2018 in Germany.

"In supporting RC Deutschland GmbH in their bid for the 2018 Ryder Cup at the facility owned by the Wittelsbacher Ausgleichsfonds in Neuburg/Rohrenfeld, we want to send out a signal for our region, where Audi is the largest employer.
